    Hello,
I have a Golf 1.9 tdi 2004 with 98k miles that just about got thru it's MOT due to diesel particulates being too high.
But after much MOT test center engine revving the problem was sorted.
Everything thing on the car is fine and it sailed thru with no warning/advisories etc.
Problem is I only did 1500 miles last year and these where mostly short trips to the shop hence the DPF is getting bunged up.

So i have been advised to use a DPF cleaner and take her for long trip up motorway.

    DPF cleaner recommendation please?

    Many thanks imk

    Hello,
Well thanks everyone for reminding me that this 2004 mk5 does not have a dpf.
I guess all these particulates are accumulating somewhere else in the exhaust system as it never goes beyond 3K rpm and as said only short trips to shops.
So any ideas where these particulates are accumulating and how best to burn them out please.
    Many thanks imk
