Indeed, mine used to do about the same but now it’s more like 4500 miles between top-ups. I would strongly suggest you don’t get the update carried out.

    Just a half offtopic note:

I had to do this on my Q7/3TDI, but it's a mandatory update. If you don't ask for it, you will loose the goodwill for later. However, there is a compensation by the Audi documents, so you will get a free Adblue refill for about 60.000 miles. I will refer after I will see this in a written form in my hands, but I've seen it in the service documents.

In the UK it’s voluntary and I think you have to ask “what about after 60,000 miles of free adBlue top-ups” and “what about the next owner?”

I have the 272 in my A4 and it has the torque converter gearbox, not dual clutch? I thought DSG box was only available on the 218bhp version.

Anyways v happy with my A4 272 - with a remap it will see off a Bi-Tdi anyway

Having various 3.0 tdi’s and upgrading to a bitdi, there is no comparison. The bitdi is an animal. Bitdi is the best car I have ever owned. You will not be disappointed. Fuel consumption 24-26mpg in town, 40mpg on a fast motorway.

took the car to 144mph on an autobahn and it kept going, unfortunately I didn’t have the balls to go faster as it was too busy. Unlimited is 177.
