    Hi to All,
I have a new 2019 golf gti petrol, not sure if is still called mk 7.5. The ignition key battery 2025 is discharging very quickly. Took car back to Dealers, I assume they put new battery in and reported all was ok.
No it went again. Did some searching or Google, voltage should be 3.2 volts, the 2025 when discharged were 2.98 volts.
My Audi and previous Gti had 2032 batteries fitted ( same voltage but slightly thicker ). Finally fitted 2032 battery to new car fob key, waiting to see what happens.
    Anyone having similar problems.
    Regards
    john

    Hi to All,
Evidently there appears to be some dodgy ignition fob keys around. After repeated calls to the dealers they appear to be aware of the problem. Looks like new keys and/or internal ignition changes are pending.
Interesting this problem has not highlighted, must just be unlucky, still a lovely car.
    Regards
    john
