So I want to do the RECD 300 to RCD 500 upgrade blah blah blah BUT how do I identify which Can Bus I have without a VCDS / VAG COM thingy?
I believe I need a post K revision on the Can Bus but is there a physical way to tell which one I currently have. Also if I pull the thing out to look at it (presuming I can find the thing) will it affect it being taken out and put back in?

    Cheers

A new one and I strongly suggest the latest VAG replacement is used, 3C0 907 530 Q which is £209.44. Whatever you use will have to be coded to the car.

Ah right. Ok thanks for that. I suspect I'll not be getting that then :-)
