Has any work been done recently such as sump, oil filter or housing removal?

Could just be a badly refitted sump, you have to be very precise with it. The real worry is if it is the crank oil seal.

well its either the rms or sump... got car up and right under....

its leaking right under rms... but may be sump as them 2 end bolts look a bit crappy to tighten up.

so im gunna remove sump... clean up & get some new bolts and fasten up.

just need to find correct torque settings for them.

it needs dmf doing soon, so rms at same time wont be too much extra work

The seal also means the sump off and a multi step process using a special jig to install and align the seal which is also the crank speed sensor ring.
