Edit: there is a hardwired hands free kit I think this is the culprit according to an online manual it is hardwired to the door speakers. But where and how?

Any ideas? The speaker wiring in the dash looks ok and no code’ writing.

Also does anyone know where the wiring leads to, which route it takes. I think previous owner cut it.

Theres no static noises or anything

    help appreciated

edit: can see factory speakers in doors

Solution Edit: As you may know in be sharans on the iso plug there is FR FL speaker wiring. But 4 different pairs in the door.
Anyways the speaker wiring in rear doors was split in the door boots. Joined them up and all grafting.
Blaupunkt too put a subwoofer in and the speakers really handle the mids and highs with just heading power.

Just incase recently did this mod, may help someone else. - wired the rear doors separately from the front. So sent new RR and RL pairs. Modded directly into the headunit harness as im not sure about putting pins into iso plug.
But I assume this way the speakers should have a higher ohms figure rather than piggy backing the front. Plus the actual 50w x4
To do this mod in rear door boot i've crossed my fingers first then joined the + and -
I actually assumed this may short circuit and cause a fire but I'm not sure how they're routed in the car maybe there's some circuit box.
So this basically got the front speaker working individually somehow.

I have not tried this set up with the factory tape.

Not sure if you still have a question .

What year Sharan? I've taken a look at wiring for year 2000 as a starting point.

The Beta headunit only had front outputs from what I can see. If you have a new HU with rears as well it would make sense to plug the extra wires into the ISO connector so you get the benefit of fading and don't stress the internal front amp circuits (because paralleling the rear speaker in lowers resistance, and draws more current from them).
