Hi all, have just replaced the injectors on my BKP-engined Passat. Only one had gone, but I've replaced all four from a known working engine, that way I'll have a couple or so spares ... possibly. Anyway, it's all running good again, if a little smoky. But I reckon that might be because I've just guessed at the backlash adjustment, and I'll do the correct setup shortly. My question is, I obviously should renew the TTY injector bolts and seals, and the TTY bolts for that big bar that the injector actuators pivot on - so does anyone have any advice as to where to get the these at the best price? I'm reluctant just to go to VW, if Bosch or someone else has exactly the same items for less. Many thanks in advance

No seals needed for the injector bolts themselves and make sure the holes are clean, as dry as possible and not full of oil otherwise they will torque badly and possibly loosen.

    Torque is 3Nm + 270° iirc

Ok cheers. I meant seals for the injector bodies themselves though ... but have found some on eBay, apparently OEM.

Darkside Developments have an upgraded injector seal kit (apparently).

Darkside Developments - Injector Seal Kit for 2.0 16v TDI PPD Engines

Comes with new injector adjuster bolts and ball pins. I have the brown OEM 1 seal version fitted presently.

Also love the fact that Bosch don't make the injectors for Passat PD engines (they are only fitted with Siemens) but do seal kits which presumably fit the Siemens injectors.

That's great, thanks. They're dear, aren't they? Eighty quid plus postage for some little bits of rubber and some screws!

The phrase "you get what you pay for" comes to mind. I'd rather spend on known quality than buy cheap and have to do the job twice or even more due to inferior cheap parts. Not everything with a brand name quoted on it is really genuine and quality is very important.

I have a great recommendation for you. An online store where I shop myself. Go to https://www.scrooz.com.au/screws/roofing-screws /. There are a lot of fasteners. The main ones are: - Steel - nails, screws, nuts, anchors, bolts and dowels, rivets. These are types of fasteners with which you can connect parts of wooden structures. The alloy may vary in composition. - Metal – these are different fastening elements (corners, squares) with holes for screws or nails. I am a professional builder, and fasteners are a very important part of any construction. Its quality directly affects the result, namely the structure's strength, durability and appearance. We should choose only professional factory-made fasteners to ensure the strength of the roof or wooden structure. Their range of fasteners is widely presented (you can find any type, type, and size of fastening). It is important to choose it correctly following the surface material, type of work and other operating conditions.
