Both videos have been sent to Audi who have confirmed it as an issue and have said they are already working on a fix, though its not likely due to until early next year.
That's both good and bad news. Great that they are working on it and are now aware but it is concerning that after almost a year since release it has only just been bought to their attention. I assume the fix will be a drive in update and not OTA?

Yeah drive in I would think. Got the feeling that it really wasn't the first time it's been reported, but perhaps first time with Android Auto rather than CarPlay.

Standard or tech pack? Have you tried AA and CarPlay? Would be good to know your firmware version too - useful to try and narrow it down.

Tech pack, and using Android Auto. I'll try to grab the software version on my commute home.

Ah yes, think it will be Tech Pack. Has a different sized screen to the standard I think.

Im pretty sure the tech pack has a 10.1 inch screen. The standard screen is 8.something i believe?

Sounds about right. It would also make sense as you cannot touch about an inch of the screen. Take that into account with the additional inch going around the bezel to make up the space and one could come to the conclusion that they loaded the same Android Auto/Car Play config as the Tech Pack display and didn't take into account the smaller resolution/size.

Switched to an iPhone and the status bar on the left, plus the full wording of ‘back’ rather than just a symbol is a god send.

Far left of the screen still doesn’t work in exactly the same area as with AA, but it’s much less important in CarPlay.

Had mine in for a DSG service today and the issue is now resolved after a software update.
