Having constant problems with what's called key fob synchronisation on 2003 A4 Avant. Garage sorts it out ok only for it to stop working a few days later meaning constant manual opening and locking with hazard lights going on meantime.

    Any help much appreciated thanks....

Can't believe this ! I've had the car for about two years now and since then I've tried every possible angle which has been damned expensive as it kept on failing afterwards which has been a real pain. Just did a comprehensive Google search as I've done many times before and finally solved it on another Audi forum....

"Unlock the door using the usual key, put it in the ignition and start up the car. Then press the open or closed a few times and it's back to normal" !

Haven't the slightest idea why it works but no more costly key fob specialists thankfully, hope this helps someone else....

I had similar issues, check my posts on here, I'm sure one of the regulars helped out with a 'how to resync' guide for me

Failing that, videos on youTube how to re-sync/program the keyfob - Mines a 2003 cab

It's a real hassle alright, but what I still can't understand is why just pressing open and closed a few times starts it working again without the need to resync....?
