    Hi All,

    I own a Passat SE TDi 140 Auto 2007. It's done 126k miles.

I just read a flyer for a Fortron Engine carbon cleaning system that "removes problematic deposits from combustion chambers, injectors, throttle body, inlet valves, manifolds and DPF. Effective cleaning for petrol & diesel engines, eliminating the need for injector removal"

Does anyone have any experience, to share, of this particular cleaning system?

    thanks

Most carbon cleaning involves simply injecting water into a running engine. Others use 'specially' formulated cleaning solutions running these through various systems depending on what service is required. There are cleaning machines for cooling, transmission, engine, and other systems each reputedly leaving your car magically refreshed and revived. Some can give good results but most only a moderate improvement. Regular servicing and periodic cleaning can mean that such extreme cleaning is not actually necessary.

    Thanks Mad Mitch.
Car probably doesn't need the treatment as it has been regularly serviced by a reputable technician.
