    Hi all

I have a C5 S6 Avant and the roof antenna was snapped off at the base.

I couldnt manage to extract just the aerial itself so I purchased a replacement antenna and base on ebay from a 2003 allroad thinking it should fit, as the external part of the antenna looks identical,

However, when it arrived and I started doing the job, I found that even though the connector matches, the antenna I removed from the car is a different model

The antenna I removed from the car looks like this:

The antenna I purchased has a connector that fits the wiring in the car but looks totally different:

I can't find what these connectors are called anywhere online .. all the antennas I see on ebay seem to have another version of this connector which isn't right

Does anyone know of an antenna replacement online I can purchase? I found the exact model of antenna but it was used, €80 and came from Germany which is crazy, as the condition will probably be poor as its a 20 year old part. I would rather have a new aftermarket one than an old OEM one

I guess any antenna I buy will need to have some kind of amp circuitry built in to the base like the one that was removed,

Thanks in advance for any assistance

My anntena is also broken, I also purchased a second hand one which wasn't the correct model and didn't fit. Still looking for another second hand piece, but I am not in a hurry cause the radio works just fine without it. The part should cost 20euro, I paid 5 for the first one

I just ordered this one from Germany

Antennenfuß ROKA SNAP für AUDI A3 A4 A6 Sockel Stabantenne Dach Antenne 16V | eBay

Will report back when it arrives!

There is an official Audi replacement antenna kit with part number 4B9051505 but its expensive £65... so i'll try this €8 one first!

After a lot of messing around I can happily confirm this is the correct Antenna for my 2000 Audi S6 - my original broken antenna had an amplifier in the base, and not any additional antenna boosters like some other cars have (possibly later models?)

    Antenne Dachantenne Antennenfuß für Audi A3 S3 A4 S4 A6 S6 A8 Roka Snap Stecker | eBayAntenne Dachantenne Antennenfuß für Audi A3 S3 A4 S4 A6 S6 A8 Roka Snap Stecker | eBay

As i'm using an aftermarket head unit I also required the following adaptor to power the antenna

PC5-90 Audi Phantom Amplified ISO to DIN Aerial replacement adaptor antenna | eBay

    Hope this helps someone
