    Have just been supplied DAYCO part: KTB296 for my 1.9 TDI AWX engine and having a major headache with tensioning. There is no pin hole for locking the tensioner!!!. I am unable to upload pics unfortunately due to some technical anomoly.

    Firstly, private message me your REG number. There are two different tensioner systems.

    All sorted. It's different to the Dayco kit I had a couple of years ago, and has some built-in holding arrangement that holds on partial tightening of the nut - just couldn't see it at the time and there are no instructions even on their website!.
