I've had those idle hiccups for a while, seems like they come and go. But now its permanent, after a bit of drive when i stop at the lights i can feel hiccup, it not constant, but could be one every 10 seconds or something, its hard to explain really. No other weird noises, pulls well when on the go, no smoke as well. Pluged in VCDS, no codes at all. Also injectors around 0. There was no changes in fuel, i usually fill up from Costco's station. Fuel filter replaced with genuine around 6 months ago, alternator pulley also not that old, belt isnt jumping. Injector loom replaced couple year ago. Airmass replaced with genuine vw exchange unit.Cant be flywheel, because its a new set fitted. what else could be failing? Thanks in advance

Glow plug failure crossed my mind but the 05 has active glow plug monitoring. We had a Golf Plus of the same age and engine code do this a few years ago and I could not pin it down. I asked the lady owner to change over to Shell V Power, after two tanks the problem went away and did not return.

Possibly, also an oil additive has been shown to reduce stiction (which could match your symptom) in certain designs of injector but as I don’t (haven’t, will not ever) own a Diesel to experiment on.

I'll give premium fuel a try and some diesel treatment as well. Nothing to loose anyway

Well i've filled up with Shell V-Power 2 full tanks, and it looked like hiccups disappered. So decided to fill up with Costco premium afterwards, and guess what - hiccups came back. Unbelievable. Can't afford to run it on premium all the time...
