Hi all, over a year ago I had an error code on my A6. Can’t remember which one it was, but the arm was hanging off one of the motors. Again I can’t remember which side. Anyway I purchased the replacement arm and got my local garage to fit when it was next in.

For months and months now I’ve had error code P2011. I believe that’s the same fault? Which side does that relate to when I’m stood in front of the car looking in? Both arms are attached. The one on the left will twist side to side in my fingers more than the right. I can push the arm down on the right and let it come back up. I can’t seem to push the arm up or down on the left. Should I be able to? Or will it not move unless the car tells it to?

In engineering terms, left is left and right is right, it is not ambiguous, viewed sitting in the car looking forwards. So you have a V6 CRTDI with a faulty left manifold.

It had recon swirl flaps and housing a couple of years ago so shouldn’t be too clogged up. From others experience, a new control arm? Or a new motor? Or is there a cheap mod that can be done to it?

The only way I will do the job is with new genuine complete manifolds.

i sorted mine a few years ago (turbo side) with a new arm and link from audi - Cheeper than ebay.
However I am thinking with recon manifolds, crasher could be right.... mines the ASB engine and recently ---
