Didn't think we're were taking about changing any designs with anything phone or brake pads or otherwise , I believe the OP is discussing prices Audi charge or can charge for certain repairs because they cannot be easily sourced and carried out elsewhere other than Audi dealerships at least in the first year.. this makes it easier for them to dictate (extort) prices .. Absolutely nothing wrong with that .. Just the way it works. .. Quite sure most of us will just pay whatever prices and get brake pads .. Can't stop a good MOAN though can ya...

I guess if are and APPLE FANBOY it can be hard to see ..

They practice the same way, even for those legitimate APPLE repair shops around which way there is class action against being taken against them for these very practices..

I suppose we'd better wait another VW #DIESELGATE scenario before we scream anymore ABUSE at Audi then

Thankfully they didn't need doing, although the rep from my dealer did imply they would have done it for the same price as for a 3yr+ car had I needed them doing. Am surprsied there are no after market pads available, I think I found one set, from a brand I had never heard of. Unless Audi are influencing Brembo (assuming the are the OE manufacturer) to not sell them as part of their deal to use them as a supplier??

Maybe by the time I need them the parts will be available!

Note to you Takes one to know one comes to mind.. suggest you try this thing called Facebook to direct your more positive comments

Might even make you a tad more educated.. + bonus, you get to hide behind those 'crasher-*****' non productive comments directly individually as apposed to the forum ..

    Just a thought though
