    It’s used to lock the tensioner in the released position. The Sealey kit vse2358 comes with one and the other locking devices you need and is only around £20 so worth buying if you are going to replace the belt.

    does anyone know how easy it is to access the retaining nut on these tensioners and will I have to remove alternator and / or pas pump to get to it ?
