    Hi all

I believe my dual mass flywheel has gone on my Audi Cvt. It shakes extremely violently on hot startup. Never does it on cold start up.

Is a CVT Tiptronic dmf the same as a CVT dmf? I’m confused.

Do all CVT’s come with Tiptronics?

Thanks guys in advance for all your help.

Tiptronic is just an Audi feature name but yours is a Multitronic, AKA Multichronic. Unlike a conventional slush box, CVT's and DSG's use a DMF.

    Thank you very much.

Do you reckon it’s the dmf that’s making the engine vibrate violently on hot start up. I’ve plugged my Vag com in and it’s not coming up with any error codes. There’s a slight wobble in the car at idle. It’s shakes violently at start up. Like it’s going to explode. It takes a bit long than normal to start when it shakes as well.

It does not strike me as a failed DMF. You have no engine light, fault codes or coolant loss?
