Hi yes Thanks makes sense totally i checked the manual VW. 509 00 VW 507 00 Flexible or Fixed doesn't matter as long as it's every 24 months at the very least from the looks of it...

I think Audi Service centres make out like it needs to be done to make a minimum of £500 per service visit every year probably

Not sure why the manual lists 509 00 then 507 00 as alternative under the flexible change .. The first change is at 2 years anyways so god know ..,

It's probably because you are due an inspection service in 30 days. You should also be getting your brake fluid changed.

I change my oil every year. I use the recommended 100% synthetic Castrol. If you look at experts opinions they suggest every 3-500 miles for mineral oils and every 12, 000 miles/year for synthetic oil. Yes I know Audi have the long life 2 year thing but I and experts disagree with that.

It's not in the interest of the manufacturers that the car lasts forever. So I change my oil/filter every year and then have to go to the dealer for the 2 year service. The oil after a year looks dirty. I think that no oil change for 2 years on a new engine is just plain stupid.

Of course if you are like many who just lease the car then why care about the long term durability of the vehicle.

I'll also be changing the auto transmission fluid well before Audi recommends.

My viewpoint but the cost of new motor/transmission then why gamble?
