I think it will be going that way. Strong Customer Authentication is coming in this year for banking and requires: something you know, something you have and something you are.

I don’t think having one of the above will be sufficient in any eurozone country in the future. What will be interesting is if they are delegating something you are (finger print / face recognition) to a 3rd party.

Well, there was a joke a long time ago about the cars.

- What will happpen if Microsoft build a car?
- When you will have an accident, the car will pop up a message: "Do you want to use the airbag? (Y/N)"

- please accept the goals, the processors, the controllers,
- please decide, do you want to get direct marketing messages?
- please choose, do you want to create a profile?
- with whom do you want to share your data?
- do you allow Audi to collect personal data?

IMHO, the price of the old cars will rise soon. Or let me say in a different way, the price of the cars will rise, while the new age toys will be approximately the same, as they will look, and act almost the same, while nobody will able to drive on his own, without the big brother's eye.
