Like it - just don’t like the chrome strip going across the back end - what’s that all about

Agreed. Looks good apart from the chrome.

... and fake exhausts! I don’t get it on a facelift.

Is it me or are new cars at the moment pretty underwhelming? Usually when it comes up to the end of my 3 year finance, I’ve got maybe 5 or 6 that cars I like and 3 that I shortlist for test drives.

This time round I have 1 in total and that’s just because I fancy having a ridiculous petrol engine family car whilst they are still allowed

My next car could be a Google autonomous bubble car at this rate..

Although I love how uncluttered and cool it looks, the move to touchscreens is not a good one IMHO. My previous two cars were touchscreen and I found it highly distracting taking your eyes off the road and stretching your arm out to ensure your finger is pointing in exactly the right place as there is no tactile feedback to ensure you have the right button. I know its the way design is going but TBH I’d be happier with the current design. [I have played with the Q8 interface which I assume is basically the same].

Anyway more interestingly is there any cool new useful tech on this not available in current model? I couldn’t see much from the video, maybe the extra clever air suspension from SQ7?

Great video by those guys but really once you remove the new dash it's pretty much the same.

The tech is more advanced of course and wireless car play is a bonus but really it's not overly different.

It's nice though.. Not sure I'm keen on the contrasting body colour.. I'm sure that's an option.

I do like the integrated head rest into the seat though. Personal opinion of course.

Well well looks like this will be on the Q7...(I say this because the video above and the YT video have the same key which is obviously different to current key) - wonder if Q8 has this currently?

Make sure your phone doesn’t run out battery before you get back to your car and well I kinda like this but not sure I should...

Hopefully they’ve done it better than BMW!

On BMW’s, it only works with Android, but once you get in the car, they only support Apple CarPlay

I wonder when car manufacturers will start taking two factor authentication seriously for driving off expensive vehicles... If you nick your phone can you open & start the car? Or need to fingerprint first? I remember an old Pug 306 and ,my old Scooby Doo both had numeric keypads built in you could enable as well as the car keys.
