i have a 2014 leon fr petrol with 84k on the clock, when i start my car the epc light is on, if i turn it off then straight back on it goes out, then after driving it it sometimes comes back on, and the stop start stops working, but there is no lack of power or sluggish performance, what could this be , anyone know ? surely it cant be anything to drastic as it does not affect the performance, im looking to sell the car but really need to fix the issue first,

You need a fault code read to see what is wrong, there are so many possibilities guessing would be very risky, a well known culprit is the brake pedal position sensor is becoming an issue on the MQB platform but the repair kit is only £28.

18995 (P2563) - Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor Circuit: Implausible Signal

This will require the turbo to be removed and rebuilt

The MQB platform does not use a brake pedal switch as such like the previous PQ35 which had a dual circuit brake pedal switch and brake light switch function.

if the turbo needs a rebuild why does it still boost ok, no performance issues at all ?
