I need to raise the rear end and remove the rear wheels but it isn't obvious where to place axles stands because of the plastic s-line sill mouldings. Not a lot of metal visible. Any suggestions please?
Same question applies to the front end while I'm at it, thanks in advance.

If you don’t mind deforming the plastic a little, there is the same metal ridge all the way under the plastic.

I usually use the edge of the plastic/visible metal for the jack and then place the axle stand on the visible metal

Most modern VAG cars are very difficult to jack up and put on axle stands safely, we see huge numbers of cars with sills wrecked by trolley jacks. The 2008 onwards jacking pad locations have made it easier IF the person with the trolley jack has the pads Audi A4 (2008-2016) Powerflex Jack Pad Adaptor PF3-1660 | eBay

Thanks, but given mine is a 2006 and doesn't have the capacity to accept the powerflex jack pad do you have any suggestions on how to safely support it while I remove the rear wheels?

To be honest and it may sound odd but it is a job I have very little experience of as I have only ever lifted an 8E on a two post lift, my reply was more of a general observation of the problem. From memory of the underside it is a car I would not like to lift on a trolley jack for fear of causing sill damage so I would use a thick block of wood (we use these to get at the lift points of awkward vehicles like the T5) under the sill but where to put the axle stand, I could not recommend.
