    It is a dilemma, everyone is trying to make coin by supplying a market and everyone is trying to save coin buying into it trying to save coin. You paid £35 per caliper and the VW parts are £197.48. We all know, they know, that genuine parts are the stiff end of the price spectrum but if you were offered life saving medical treatment at £200 new or £50 scavenged from scrap, which would you trust and choose? Buy cheap, buy twice.

    I agree with everything you said, but i have bought alternators,starters which was reman parts and they still going to this date. Didn't look deep enough into caliper business...TRW seems to be hard to get it. German ebay or something

    TRW parts supply in the UK is awful, one of my local factors, Motor Parts Direct, is an agent. We used to be but the company's UK side drove us all round the bend as everything you wanted had to be ordered from Germany and half the time they forgot to put the order through! It is one of those things I often find with companies I deal with that is really frustrating, it's either great products but **** management or great people to do business with but their products suck...

    i will try german ebay.

    i jacked it up this afternoon, and made a video. this is with handbrake off, and lever fully at the stop.

    I had it worse, but i consider this as not properly working caliper.
