Hi All,

Bought a late 2017 A6 Quattro 3.0L 272bhp. It has all the lane change, radar, self-park, adaptive cruise, sunroof kit etc. but I only noticed the next day that it doesn't have the flappy paddle gear change on the steering wheel. To my surprise :-). It was on my previous A7 and I thought a newer A6 fully loaded would have this, but every model has different options and kit with Audi.

Anyway I'd like to buy a new steering wheel and fit this. The existing steering wheel is flat bottomed, I love that look and the new wheel should also be flat bottomed, and pref heated as well while I'm going to the bother.

Has anyone any experience of this type of steering wheel refit and what I should watch out for please. Will I just be able to connect the wiring and the paddles will work, or do I need new wiring or does coding have to be done to enable the paddle shifters. Anything to be ultra careful about around the airbag etc??

Many thanks !
