Hi all, I'm having a bit of an issue getting the correct springs for my MK5 GT TDI 140, I have ordered springs which were supposed to fit my car and they did fit but the car is now about an inch higher on the front end than it was, it's been like that for about a week now and showing no signs of settling so I believe they're incorrect. I believe my car has sports suspension and the springs they sent me are for a standard TDI possibly?

Is there a way of finding the correct springs other than my reg no? as this doesn't seem to be working for me. I have noticed the springs have coloured dots but unsure what that means if anything?

    Thanks

Common problem, the only company to trust other than VAG is Suplex and even then you have to know the cross reference from the original, PM me the UK reg or VIN and I will look it up.

The genuine spring number is 1K0 411 105 DA and these are marked either 3 x red and 1 x grey or 1 x violet and 4 x brown at £104.62 from VW and are a Suplex 39279. What is the number and make of the springs you fitted?

Thank you, the springs I fitted were GS7096F Continental Direct springs, they were pretty cheap so gave them a try. I think I might just get some genuine springs save the hassle of getting it wrong again.

My original springs have the 3 RED and 1 GREY colour markings

Continental Direct is a Chinese company making a clever play on the Continental brand name.
