The OE spring number you quote is correct and should be ECP number 627446152 and a KYB RH3553.

The dampers are VAG number 1K0 413 031 BF and Sachs
    312 267

Any idea what would cause the creaking ,does it in a straight line slightly but more so turning when the weight goes to the one side ,

Never heard of Amtex, a quick Googling suggests they are Chinese. I would only fit Boge, Sachs, Monroe or TRW. If you fitted a damper equivalent to 1K0 413 031 AC then that is OK in theory as the correct 1K0 413 031 BF is a Boge 32-M74-A or a Sachs 312 267 as is the AC version.
