    So now this is in the 2001-2004 forum, hopefully you have noticed this other thread: Allroad Air Suspension Problems

    The sudden failure seems a bit odd but struts (bags) which start to leak and compressors that wear to the point of not being able to raise the suspension before the control unit gives up are discussed at some length. You can test for leaks by parking, engaging jacking mode, measuring the height, leaving it a good while, for example overnight, and measuring again. Compressors can often sorted out with one of two kits from bagpipingandy, either a piston ring or piston ring+cyclinder so much cheaper than a new compressor.

    The date of this section could do with changing to 2005 as normal 4B production ended in January 2005 BUT the AllRoad ended in August.
    Anthropogenic climate change, the biggest con inflicted on mankind since religion...

    Well 48hrs later and it's still up where I left it.got no idea what happened to cause it to drop unless it's something to do with the steering left on full right turn.owner now going to sell as just brought a golf 3 times more economical on fuel she's going through a divorce at mo and very short of money I'll end this thread now thanks for all the help and advice.
