I haven't posted anything like this before, I should show some of the interesting jobs we do. This is a 2007 Passat 2L TDI we have dropped the complete rear end out of to completely rebuild and powder coat plus de-rust and treat the rear floor. More pics over the next few days.

All the bolts through ally and bushings were seized solid, you can't wave the oxy at ally so you have to use an induction heater

Camber arm inner bush, some were much worse

Inner arch rust, same both sides

    Control blade mount area rust

Snapped damper lower lower bolt, we had to cut the damper eye open, then cut through the bush to the sleeve, heat the sleeve and get it off the broken bolt and then run the induction heater for about five minutes until the stub glowed deep red to sink heat down into the ally carrier and the bolt then wound out with no thread or ally heat damage

With an induction wire wrapped around the subframe mounts, these boiled up and pushed out quickly

Dropping the set up down at the blasters in the morning

When we put this back together we are fitting the later design uppers with full kits from Meyle.

Put Lemforder on mine which had steel Bush collars not ally.

Should last the rest of the car life now and be adjustable still.

Yes Lemforder is good but the Meyle ones worked out better value taking into account all the bolts come with them. We coat the bolts and the inside of the sleeves with Würth ally paste.

    Some more pics

    Treated floor

    Treated rust going black

Ohh Poo! Get the MIG out

    Treated blade mount area

    Rust after descaling
