A6 C6 2.0tdi - Limited Edition

I have just purchased an Avant version of these with one owner, FASH and 110,000 miles on a 58 plate. It is in great condition outside and in.

I have "moved up" from an 04 1.9tdi A6 C5 Avant, which was a fantastic motorway muncher, and was wondering whether some of the issues which were well known about like the rear washer leaking, the wet carpet from the leaking pollen filter and the small lake below the windscreen, due to blocked drainage holes, have migrated to the C6?

Overall I'm very happy but just getting used to some of the new features. I intend to update the MMI and Sat Nav in the near future but are there things I should look out for "improve"?

A couple of small niggles are the top of the MMI rotary knob has lost its chrome and the surround for the gear lever is a chrome effect but the foil has bubbled up. Both entirely cosmetic I know but are they replaceable?

I don’t know that engine, but on the chassis side on the Avant there’s a rubber water pipe for rear washer in the tailgate area which breaks eventually, taking out the MMI unit. Better reinforced before it fails. There is a tsb about it somewhere and probably a thread on here. Possibly vacuum lines in the engine bay which crack too, or maybe that’s just the 3.2 FSI.

A few blocked drains issues ive heard about, but mine hasn’t suffered that yet. I can’t think of much else tbh.
