EBS Error 03200

Hi,

Have an issue with EBS on my Passat B6 estate 2008.

Scanning using VCDS found 1 error:

03200 - Switch for Electric Parking Brake (E538)

Changed switch twice and still the same error.
Fault is intermittent (fails one in six attempts).

Both new switches has part no. 3C0 927 225C where old one was 3CO 927 225B, not sure if that makes any difference.

Did any one of you had similar issue and can point me in the right direction please?

3C0 927 225 C REH is the correct switch. The system changed in May 2008 so I need to know which side of that your car was built, private message me the reg and I can use that.

There is a TPI under the number 2021874/5 for this but on my offline copy of elsa it is coming up blank, I would have to pay to use erWin to get the copy. The car was built 17-01-08 so it is the early system and the control unit is on the centre consul. I have known these units to fail when changing the pads.

Hi, So I made a mistake. I removed old module and plugged in new one (used - the same part number) and it looks like it lost coding for ABS ??.
Connected old one back and there is no coding as well .
So now I got : ERROR 01616 - ABS Control Module 013 - Check DTC Memory - MIL ON on 53-Parking Brake
and multiple errors on ABS MODULE

01314 - Engine Control Module

00778 - Stering Angle Sensor (G85)
005 - No or Incorect Basic Settings/ Addaptation

00810 - Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressuer

I sent coding to 285 for ABS as per: need coding abs vw passat 3C
I tried to do basic settings but all groups for those above shows - ERROR Group xxx Not Available

I suspected that would be the problem, you should start by buying a legal VCDS cable so you get on screen help with the login codes. Other than that I can’t help you further until you are using version 19.6.
