I have now had a R Line estate 1.5TSI manual for a couple of weeks and would be grateful for some help on switches.

There is a dial in the glovebox and I can't find any reference to it in the Handbook. Is this glovebox temperature control?

And there is normally a button on the rear front door column to deactivate the interior sensors. The Handbook mentions one, but doesn't say where it is and it certainly isn't where it would normally be - any ideas? Nuiscance having to close the sunroof each time the car's locked.

    Many thanks

    Phil

The dial in the glove compartment is more of a vent that lets in some air from the climate control system. Not guaranteed to always be cold air, so I close it in winter and open it in summer.

For the interior sensors, look up SAFELOCK in the manual. A double press of the lock button on the key fob locks the car and the second press disables SAFELOCK. That means the interior sensors are off AND the interior door handles are re-enabled.

For me, the SAFELOCK setup isn't brilliant because if you want to leave windows slightly open you want the sensors disabled but the interior door handles disabled also.
