55 plate 1.9tdi se front lower control arms.

Hi all,

lower control arm bushes came up on the mot so I'm going to get them done but wanting to get the complete arms. I don't have a service book or the sticker in the boot so I don't know what arms I need as there seems to be some variation. Are all mk5 arms the same or are there fitment differences?

There are four different designs, fabricated steel, cast steel, pressed steel and forged aluminium and you can fit any of them as long as they match. Quite a few companies sell complete arms, my personal favourite is Febi who do pro kits with the all important bolts, these must be replaced so it makes sense if the part comes with them. Until the ball joint is fitted the wishbone isn’t handed.
