    Apparently so but there was little info on it back then and I found out it was against construction and use regulations plus I was becoming much more aware of the damage NOX emissions do, I was and still am learning.

    Dr John, the pipe from the head with the clamp brings the gasses from the cooler through the head (extra cooling effect) and sends them into the inlet manifold. The motor in front is called the V157 manifold flap on cars factory built without a variable port inlet manifold, it is a bit of a convoluted subject.     So could a EGR blanking plate be fitted here? Assuming I had sold my soul to the devil.

    UPDATE

    I just noticed the the "gaskets" shown in the first exploded diagram has tabs on the sides of it, does this mean that if you replace these gaskets you have to use one of the embossed metal items rather than the more traditional flat cut out gaskets i.e. you need to use one of these stamped metal devices

    I can see that the end of the pipe has a clamping surface with a groove in it.
