So I went to europarts and purchased a map sensor, (thrust sensor) vag call it? gave the guy my vin number and this is what he gave me.

I thought this was a dpf sensor not map sensor.

Forgive me for my lack of knowledge as I am just starting out on doing my own repairs. If this is correct have any of you kind people have any information on fitment.

    Chele.

Edit. just seen thread relating dpf sensor is boost pressure sensor.

Is this the right part to correspond to fault?

Yes that is the DPF sensor, not the thrust sensor. ECP is staffed by Muppet's.

Thanks Crasher. Back to ECP to get correct one. Should of bloody questioned him when there.

    should look like this>>>

    map sensor.jpg

Part number to correspond to vim.

Would boost sensor be the issue to vcds scan?

Depends on the engine year and type code.
