    Hi Guys,

I seem to have a brake pads light on intermittantly, I have had two garages take a quick look and they both seem to think the brake pads are ok for a while, now the light is on constantly when I turn the car on. So I have decided best to have the pads replaced, initially I was thinking just do rear but then realised my cars front ones I believe have the sensors while back do not.

Now I am thinking just replace both sets and where the problem starts, I have no idea which PR Codes is for mine. I have been on eurocar parts as they have a 50% off thing on pads, I put in the Reg and it sees as a 2010 Passat which technically 09 is the same as a 10 plate B6. It sees two different sets of rear pads and both have different PR codes, I have taken a look at my codes and neither seem to match. Which pr code should I use and secondly which would you recomend brand wise.

I have enclosed my PR Codes here
    Code:
    PRCode: 0G1 = Gearshift lever
PRCode: 0YC = Weight range 3 installation control only no requirement forecast
PRCode: 1AT = Electronic stabilization program (ESP)
PRCode: 1G3 = Alloy spare wheel with original equipment tires
PRCode: 1ZM = Disc brakes front (Geomet D)
    PRCode: 2PP = Leather multi-function steering wheel
PRCode: 3S0 = Without roof rails/roof load rack
PRCode: 5RV = Right exterior mirror: aspherical
PRCode: 5SJ = Left exterior mirror: convex
    PRCode: 7MG = Emission standard EU5
    PRCode: 8AE = Radio RCD310 MP3
    PRCode: 8GV = Alternator 180 A
PRCode: 8T2 = Cruise control system (CCS) electronic
    PRCode: CP4 = Alloy wheels 7.5J x 17
    PRCode: D91 = 4-cyl. turbo diesel engine 2.0 l/103 kW (4V) TDI common rail; Base engine: TG3/ TJ3/TU3/TU4/TL4/TP4/TM3/TW3/TR4/TS1/TN5
PRCode: L02 = Suspension range 02 installation control only no requirement forecast
    PRCode: TG3 = 4-cylinder diesel engine 2.0 L unit 03L.A
PRCode: X2B = National sales program Great Britain

Personally I'd go for Pagid or ATE, but I avoid using Euro as had too many incorrect parts in the past, they always seem to have DFS style discounts going on. I use TPS for OEM parts so worth checking them if local to you. If you have any doubts about the discs change them as well.

Interesting, I decided to order some Bambo and Bosch (back pads) went to collect and asked them to check again and they suggested a different set for back despite them telling me the codes in the first place. I was annoyed to say the least but they gave me a set of Bambo front and back now for the same price so £51. Now to get the garrage to install them, hopefully all is well. I did try TPS but could only see trade option online, didnt try the branch as it was either Euro or them and I could only drive to one
