    Hi all,

    2008 Passat Estate with EPB.

I'm looking to neatly feed a USB extension lead into the "flip up top" cubby between the front seats. There looks like a small black plastic blanking plate at the rear of the cubby on the drivers side that maybe I could pop out

    But...

I can't work out how to get access to the underside to feed the cable through. . I can't see any screws/clips etc. and don't want to start randomly pulling in case I break something.

I've got the lead from the Radio past the gear lever and "cup holder" unit and, for now, have it exiting the bottom of the trim by the rear of the passenger seat and looping back into the top of the cubby. Yes, it works but it's not very neat or pretty.

Can't find a "How To" - maybe I've missed it?

    Suggestions gratefully received.

    Thanks.

    Andy.

    This might help?

If I recall you have to remove the surround to the radio / climate units to access bolts that hold the console down, plus a couple at the sides front / rear of the console itself.

Doesn't actually take long to free the console but some of the plastic can crack if you are not careful.
