I've got a 2009 A3 TDI 170 with cbbb engine that's done 219k with full Audi service history. The car will sometimes randomly smoke. Doesnt matter of I'm doing 30mph or 60mph. I've had it come on at 60degress and 90. When it starts to smoke it will idle a bit rough. Switching the car off then on again normally sorts the problem.
I've noticed as well that the oil level is quite high on it and I've read that this can be a dpf issue ? Does that only happen on certain engines ? I've also read that tandem pumps can fail causing oil in the fuel? I checked the readings on the dpf and it shows the oIl ash volume is 0ml :s
