Can anyone tell me the torx size of the rear carrier bolts on the mk5 (i have a gt tdi 2008) i've searched and beleive it to be a T60 but just want to check before i buy one. I need to remove them as I want to replace the disc guards as i've bought some new ones to tidy it up a bit and I beleive these and the wheel bearings need to come off to replace.

Also does anyone know the thread size of the bolts that hold on the disc guards as I may replace those too whilst i'm there..?

    Thanks

After removal they should not be re-used, use new ones as they are stretch bolts.

Thanks, all sorted. Just to confirm for anyone reading this thread in future it is an M14 spline bit/triple square. Also the thread size for the disc guards are a standard M6 thread which needs to be 10-15mm legnth.
