Recently got my golf mk6 2.0 140 got remapped. The company quoted 190bhp with 420nm of torque.

I know these figures may not be realistic, the company uses the same file on all remaps.

If the quoted figures are correct, would the stock components be able to manage? I can smell something from the car which is unusual. I have checked the engine bay but cannot see anything.

Depends on how old the 240 mm clutch is , mileage ?

And how smooth the torque comes in , spike Vs table top .

Mainly been on motorways which could explain it.

Would you recommend a stock replacement or an updated clutch?
