Adding an AMI unit and bluetooth streaming to my car - checklist and bluetooth adapter choice

I left mine in situ, not much point removing them plus the cables in the back of them prob wont have enough slack to slide them fully out of their slots anyways

Cable install was easy and there was even a push out hole for the cable and socket adapter on the top. Tune2air powered up and connected to my phone. Enables Green menu via VCDS and set the Aux-in according to this Audi MMI 3G AUX activation - mr-fix.info
Reset AMI. Aux in not showing as a source.......
UPDATE!!!!!!
Locked the car and came back to it 10 mins later and it's working! (Must have been the AMI reset that didn't work properly?)Aux shows up in the source, Phone connects automatically, I can play my stored music from my phone, Spotify, BBC sounds etc - well happy!

Out of curiosity what does it show on the mmi screen when you play tracks from your phone? Do the steering wheel controls still work?

There is no control of the phone or media on it - it’s just a one way streaming setup but I’m happy with just that.

Used it for the first time over the last few days and it works perfectly. Phone (Galaxy S10) connects automatically and the sound quality is just as good as from the CD or SD card sources. Phone satnav voice plays as do all other phone sounds. Really wished I had done this sooner.......
