So I have recently had the DPF and EGR mapped out of my 2.0tdi cr A6 avant (170).
Min first drive I only noticed a slightly better sound coming from the turbo so guessing that knocking out some of the DPF inners has unrestricted tat part of the exhaust.

power wise I did not notice any initial gains.

saying that I then took it into the motor way and higher up the Rev range I think there is a slight difference.

it was not mapped for performance but I do now get slightly better mpg.

just thought I’d share my experience with this!!

Here’s a photo to make some if you’s smile 😂

Was a local Indy garage who carried out the work, then called in some one who deals with the mapping side of the engine. Set me back £350 for all work. I have been running the car only on shells diesel (v power stuff).
i must say that now after having the car back 2 weeks it does feel more responsive, spools up a little quicker and looses traction in 2nd gear when foot planted. (Didn’t really do this previous to the work unless roads were wet)
but I did use supermarkets diesel prior to this for about a year, hence the clogging of the dpf.

    cheers
