Fog Lights DRL

Hi Guys,
My Passat is currently set to have the fog lights com on as drl’s however when I put my headlights on dip or full I cannot switch on fogs if needed.

Can anyone advise the vcds settings to select back to normal.

I’ve tried but just can’t get it right.

I think what you describe is normal.

Unless you have the three position headlight/foglight switch (off, rear, front) rather than the two position switch like I have (off, rear) then you don't have front fogs - just DRLs.

I wanted to do the same but when I've looked into it, it's an expensive conversion requiring the proper switch, wiring and new light units.

I'm considering some old school aftermarket lights wired to one of the switch blanks in the gear stick console.

I was wondering was that the case, my switch is very basic.

Off - parking lights - headlights, then pull out for fog.

When headlights on, drls are off and only rear fog operates with pulling out selector.

That's the same as mine. Unfortunately it's DRLs only for us.
