I have just bought a 2012 plate Audi A3 tdi 2.0 sline. 42,000 miles on clock and full Audi service history.

Passed mot yesterday with no advisories. Full service as well this week.

I was driving it home and after 30 mins going down a bi pass the power went on the car and there was a yellow plug flashing on dash.

I turned engine off and on again and the light had gone and the power was back to normal.

I have 6 months full warranty on the car but don’t want to have ongoing problems with it having only just collected it.

    Advise please. Thank you

If it is a CFFA, CFFB, CFGB, or CLGA engine you can almost be sure it will be the EGR valve, if it is done under warranty insist on a genuine valve even if it means you have to contribute to the cost over the price of an aftermarket unit. Your local TPS will keep a pile of these in stock under part number 03L 131 512 DQ for £359.35 inc VAT retail
