    Default Red alarm LED switching off – 03-04-2019,11:37 PM
    Hi - my dad has a 2011 A6 allroad. It’s not currently being driven much, and he’s noticed that the red alarm LED in the drivers door window stops flashing and goes off completely a couple of days after the car is switched off and locked.

    Any ideas? His concern is that it might be a symptom of the battery running down.

    Could it be the car shutting down and going into deep sleep to conserve battery power rather than a low battery?

    Yes, I was wondering that too, but didn’t know if that was normal behaviour for the car.....

    Next time the light goes out try and set the alarm off to see if it’s still working/active.
    I used to be able to set mine off with the pressure washer if I didn’t unlock before I started washing.
