Well at least that tested the TPMS!



Took the car to Kwik-Fit in Sunday, unfortunately they seemed the offending screw to be too close to the side of tyre to allow the repair. Not surprisingly they didn’t have a matching Bridgestone in stock. Said they would try to get one and would price match National despite their initial price being over £40 higher. Called yesterday to say it would be Friday at the earliest before they could get a tyre.

Almost on the point of booking National for fitting tomorrow when I thought I’d call my Audi dealer to see what they could do. Worried about a longish drive today and no spare. They got a tyre on for first thing this morning and were only £8 more than National. Would have included a wash and vacuum if I wanted too

Definitely worth considering the desalted in future for tyres. If nothing else the surrounding are somewhat better than your average tyre shop

Used local Audi dealer a lot for tyres, just show them the black circles price on my phone and they will match...and as you say nice coffee while you wait.
