    Hello all,

looking for some help and advise if anyone else has has this problem before.

My A6 C7 has xenon headlights where from yesterday the head light beam seems to be constantly moving up and down whilst driving.

When the car is stationary it doesn’t seem to move apart from when I first noticed it they seemed to keep bouncing up and down slightly however haven’t seen that again just when driving.

I have scanned the car for errors using VCDS however no fault codes are being found on the car at all.

    ant help would be great.

    Thanks,

    shahid

    Hello,

Yeah it is both sides that are moving in sync together. I have managed to get a video recorded of it happening, it is attached.

    Thanks,

    Shahid

Check the xenon level sensors on the front and back suspension arms. could possibly have been broken and not sending any signal back to the ecu

Ok do you have to take the headlights out to check the sensors? Also would this not log an error code if no signal was being sent back?

    Thanks,
    Shahid

To me it looks like each time you went over a speed bump the lights decided to do their own thing! I wonder if a sensor is loose somewhere, the fact no sensors are reporting errors means they are working, but if they are loose and not mounted properly, could that cause problems?

That looks like a broken level sensor pick up link on the suspension.

@gav28uk, in regards to this post I know its a few months old now, but you say if they are loose does that mean they are flapping around by the suspension and the sensor needs to be secured in order to really feel the adjustment in height? to confirm also this would be on the passenger side rear and front suspension?
