They are always tight and take some force to lift up, often two people in the engine bay lifting up.

Cool, thanks. We got it out yesterday... Going to be tricky getting it back in? I assume its a new O ring and firm push... there is a 10mm bolt near the top of the pipe which I guess keeps it in place but doesn't necessarily pull the pipe into the turbo

New O ring and some lubricant. We use a silicone grease that comes in Powerflex bush kits but you don’t want any in the oil, if you were in a corner then a light wipe of the O ring and the top of the opening with washing up liquid should not hurt but it does contain salt.

I'm just about to remove the turbo on mine due to a failed actuator.

So it the lower oil return pipe push fit?

So hopefully no need to access from the wheel arch and remove a totally inaccessible bolt? Hope so!

    Thanks.

Yes it is pushed in but can take some force to lift up, often you end up climbing in the bay to get the angle without pulling your back.

Thanks Crasher that's what I wanted to hear, I'll be better at wrestling from above than contorting from below unnecessarily.
