It has probaly had a new clutch as the easy way is to remove the slave rather than disconnect it as getting the system working again can be a real pain, as you are finding. We use a pressure bleeder as it makes it much easier, if actually possible really but try pumping the pedal by hand and holding it down and then have a minion release the bleed nipple, then tighten, the pull the pedal up and after around 30 attempts you may start to get a pedal, no it should not leak, have you lost the tiny rubber seal off the end of the pipe? The repair kit is £14.22, part number 1K0 798 741

    Misfiring Touran update.
Sorry for the long delay. I've still got the touran, I haven't given up!
Had it looked at by another local mechanic who couldn't read any live coms from the car. He passed me over to a reputable auto-engineer. A bit unreliable but determined that it wasn't a faulty injector nor a faulty loom. Then work got too busy so I've used it v.gently. I think the misfire is getting worse. A different source had me blank off the egr valve. That did nothing to help and in fact, made it run worse.
Next stop- looking at a worn camshaft. Please advise on what sorts of parts would be required?? Think I've seen a list on a different thread.
