Car is shutting off albeit untidy (rough) intermittently , I have only noticed this happening after recent EGR replacement , Unsure if its related ofc , but I have tried a forte fuel cleaner in case of a suspected clogged or dirty injector , its an intermittent issue but wasn't there before . Any ideas anyone ? Garage cant see any problems , no codes present or leaks around injectors.

The throttle valve closes on shutdown to force the engine into a quick stop.

It is located just below where the EGR gasses enter the inlet stub at the front of the engine.

As miles increase, " gunge " from the EGR gasses run down under gravity into the throttle valve & start to obstruct the butterfy valve from operating properly, which may be the case here.

So would be a good idea if you remove the throttle valve & give it a good clean.

While removed, remove as much of the EGR crap that will have built up in the inlet stub where the EGR discharges into it.
