    Evening all,
Long story short someone smashed my mirror on the drivers side.

Was in the folded up position so they cracked the underneath. The LED strip and the glass.

Bought what I think is the correct replacement (looks identical and has same connectors)
    But doesn't work.
Plugged the old one back in and flashing fine.

Faulty unit from seller or did I buy the wrong item?

I bought 4G5949102B which states 17 onwards. On a 67 plate so should be right.

However I have now come across 4G5949102A which looks identical?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. £70 in so far for a bit of plastic for the base the LED strip and the glass. 20190315_134559.jpg

I replaced mine plug and play, but I bought a whole new mirror housing from ebay as the whole thing was smashed. That was on a 63 plate, didn't need coding then.

That's what I would've thought can't see a reason why it would need to be coded?

    1. Either it's a faulty unit. (Good old eBay.)
    2. There is a difference between A and B at the end of the code.
    3. Or needs recoding. :/

    Update.
The B version works fine. Still no idea what the last letter is for.

But back to normal and happy I managed to replace it all.
